Grandmaster Emil Anka

Grandmaster Emil Anka is a world class chess player and coach from Hungary. After having visited several times, he moved to Bellevue, WA, to become a full time coach with Chess4Life, giving a big boost to Chess Education opportunities in the Northwest. His former student, Richard Rapport, who earned his GM title at the age of 13, is one of the youngest grandmasters in the World. GM Emil Anka has extensive coaching experience, competitive experience, and a history of running international events. We are very pleased to see his professional coaching with the most current chess theory and training, along with his love of working with children, helping them achieve success in life and chess.
