Charles Wright Academy Chess Challenge (Chess4Life Hosted) (State Qualifier)

Qualify for the 2010 Washington State Elementary Chess Championships! Qualification is open to anyone grades K-12.

Charles Wright Academy, 7723 Chambers Creek Rd. West, Tacoma 98467.

Time:

Check-in from 8–8:30am, first round at 9:00am. Awards ASAP after last round, estimated 2:30pm.

Eligible:

Any student grades K-12 and parents/adults.

Format:

K-6 tourney with K-1, 2-3, and 4-6 sections. 5-round G/30 K-6 tourney. 7-12 / Adults section, 4-round G/45. All sections rated NWSRS.

This tournament is a State Qualifier.

Awards:

Generous number of trophies and awards for all participants.

Entry Fee:

$18.00 per person (plus $1.75 online convenience fee)

Concessions:

Pizza and other concessions available on site.

Miscellaneous:

There will be a chess vendor scheduled to offer chess supplies on-site. Please bring a chess clock if you have one. Chess sets are provided.
