Grandmaster Emil Anka will be present to teach not only the advanced group, but to also help lecture and provide instruction for the intermediate and beginner groups. Elliott Neff works very closely with all of the chess coaches to pass on his experience. Elliott has 15 plus years of experience coaching and teaching chess. He currently is coach to multiple students in the top 100 list in the US for their age division.
Educational Program:Opening, middle game, and end game studies Tournament games Specialties including: bughouse and puzzlesDaily Schedule:8:45-9:15a.m. Drop-off and casual play 9:15-10:15a.m. Morning Classes 10:15-10:30p.m. Break Time 10:30-11:30a.m. Tournament Style games with analysis of some 11:30am-12:15p.m. 2nd half of morning classes 12:15-12:45p.m. Lunch Break and Morning Pick up / Afternoon Drop Off 12:45-1:45p.m. Afternoon Classes 1:45-2:00p.m. Afternoon Break 2:00-3:00p.m. Tournament games 3:00-3:40p.m. Afternoon Classes 3:45-4:00p.m.* Free Play, Simuls, Bughouse, Blitz, Clean-up, Check-out *There is a late fee charged for students picked up after 4:00p.m. Additional Info:Please bring chess clock if available. Chess set, board and carrying case available at camp for special rate of $20. An optional Early Drop off/pick up is available for an additional $5/hour. Email kids@chess4life.com if interested. There is a $30 cancellation fee. There is also a Half Day option available. Also there is an option to only attend three days of the camp for the students that have vacation plans. Contact the center for more information.*Special note: European Grandmaster Emil Anka is available for private lessons to help you improve your game quickly! Available from June 23rd to July 5th.
