Registration:

Educational camps are half-day, morning or afternoon camps - can be combined with half-day chess camps for a discounted rate. Call 425-283-0549 to register for a combined camp over the phone. Six students ONLY per educational camp - register early to reserve your spot!

Principal Instructor:

Before coming to Chess4life, Matthew Warburg was the center director of the Sylvan Learning Center in Kirkland. He is currently working on his doctorate in education at the University of Washington and is a certified teacher in both Washington and California. As well as working for Chess4Life, he tutors privately, on the Eastside as well as in Seattle.

Educational Program:

Essay Writing - designed to teach students how to write the five basic types of essays (compare and contrast, informative, persuasive, descriptive, and process). Emphasizes the importance of outlining and rough drafts as major elements of the writing process.

Daily Schedule:

12:45-1:00p.m. Drop-off.

1:00-1:55p.m. Morning Class followed by 5-minute break

2:00-2:55p.m. Same format as first hour

3:00-3:55p.m. Same format as first hour

4:00-4:15pm - pickup

Additional Info:

Please bring a notebook for each child. An optional Early Drop off/late pick-up is available for an additional $5/hour. Email kids@chess4life.com if interested. There is a $30 cancellation fee.
