Time:
Check-in from 8–8:30am, first round at 9:00am. Awards ASAP after last round. Tournament estimated finished by 3:00pm.
Eligible:
Any student grades K-6, come as part of a 4-person team, or play individually in the individual section. (6th grade middle school students are eligible to play for their former elementary school) Multiple teams from one school may play. Players must be from same school, with the exception that for teams with avg rating U800 in K-3 and U900 in K-6 that don't have enough players, a substitute may be used from another school.
Format:
K-3 open and U800 team sections, K-6 open and U900 team sections, with an additional, separate K-6 state qualifier section.
Time Control:
G/30 or G/25 with a 5-second delay.
Awards:
Trophies and medals to top teams each section, plus top teams with avg rating U800 in K-3 and U900 in K-6. Also, please make a note that awards go to top teams and top players on each board. Special awards for the Championship team
Entry Fee:
$18.00 per person (plus $1.75 for online registration), $25 with 6 days of the tournament.
Concessions:
Food and other concessions will be available on-site. Money from concessions will go towards supporting the Terrace Park chess club.
Miscellaneous:
Please bring clock if you have one. Chess sets are provided.
