How about playing some chess AND competing to be some of the first to qualify for the 2011 Washington State Elementary Chess Championships?!

Location:

Located at the Chess4Life Center, 13555 Bel-Red Rd, Bellevue, WA 98005. (see below for directions)

Time:

Check-in from 8:30am - 8:45am, first round starts at 9:00am, five rounds total. Awards begin immediately after the last round, estimated finish time: 2:30pm.

Eligible:

Any student grades K-8.

Format:

Tournament for grades K-8, sections for K-2 U800, K-2 OPEN, 3-8 U900, 3-8 0PEN.

Awards:

Generous number of trophies and medals to top finishers. All Kindergarten Players receive an award!

Entry Fee:

$18 per person (no extra fee for online registration), $25 6 days prior to event.

Concessions:

Pizza and other concessions available on site, easy access to local restaurants. Pizza Lunches Available for pre-order, please call 425.283.0599 for more information.

Miscellaneous:

You are welcome to bring your own clocks and chess notation sheets, chess sets are provided.
