We are BACK! One of the most popular events in the Northwest is back to give MONSTER TROPHIES to the top players! This is the largest qualifying event in the State with LOTS of Sections to increase your chances for a trophy. Register Early to Reserve Your Space! 2 Day - USCF Elite Section for players who want to practice for Nationals and improve their long game time controls! Register Early to Reserve Your Space!

SPECIAL EARLY RISERS - FREE COFFEE until 8:30am! Come and relax with coffee on us!

Location:

Alderwood Middle School, Lynnwood, WA.

Time:

Tournament: NO Check-in - first round starts at 9am unless special arrangements are made in advance by the organizer. Any player not in their seat and ready to play will forfeit their round. No-show players will be paired manually on the floor. Five rounds total. Awards begin immediately after the last round, estimated finish time: 3:30pm.

Any student grades K-12.

Format/Rules:

Tournament: K only, 1-3 U900, 4-6 U1000, Beginners, and GIRLS ONLY use a 5 round Swiss format. G/30 or G25 with 5 sec delay.

ALL OPEN SECTIONS: All players in OPEN section must play and use their own clock as well as record. G/30 or G/25 with 5 second delay. (All others, U900, U1000, etc. are not required to bring their own clock)

Elite:: 2 day G/90 USCF Rated 5 round Swiss. Player Clocks and Recording required. Details posted at www.mountlakechess.com

Middle School Team:: Best 3 player Team represent a school. No "B" Teams. Alternates can play in 7-12 OPEN and U1000. Contact Rick Jorgensen for entry and specifics.

Awards:

    The LARGEST Trophies in the State. All players with 3 points guaranteed to receive a trophy. Our trophy bill is over $2000!
    All 1st time players will receive a certificate of accomplishment.
    All kindergartners will receive a trophy.
    All Beginners receive a trophy or Certificate of Participation
    CASH AWARDS for 7-12 Sections - All entry fees are used for awards - More players = more Cash.

Entry Fee:

$18.50 per person (including online registration fees), $25.00 14 days prior to event.

Concessions:

Food Concessions and Chess Concessions available on site.

Miscellaneous:

Reserved Team Tables for Teams with more than 8 players.
