Do you know what the difference is between GOOD chess players and GREAT chess players? GOOD chess players focus almost exclusively on their own attack and make the first good move they think they see. GREAT chess players think about defense just as much as offense and are patient enough to find the best move instead of settling for a merely good one. In essence, they are GREAT instead of GOOD simply because the have BETTER CHESS HABITS and make fewer mistakes!!
If your child isn't getting the results they expect and want, it's usually because they haven't developed good chess habits. They move too quickly, don't pay enough attention to defending their own pieces, and end up making too many mistakes. They make good moves while their opponent makes great moves, or make the one extra mistake that often spells the difference between winning and losing.
If this describes your child, then I am the right coach for you. I will help your child develop good chess habits, teach them to focus on defense just as much as offense, and teach them how to always find the best move and avoid
