Brad Stensland

Chess4Life and Head Coach Brad Stensland are pleased to announce the opening of a new branch of Chess4life in Issaquah that Coach Brad will be managing. We will have everything from camps and ECS classes to quads and tournaments.

Coach Brad has been playing chess for most of his life, starting at the age of 7. He was undefeated during his senior year on Board 1. That same year he tied for second in the Washington State High School Individual Tournament, eventually finishing 5th in the state.

Coach Brad has extensive experience working with children. For 15 years he was a volunteer youth soccer coach. He has been a Camp Fire day camp counselor for 13 years in the summer.

Educational Experience—Bachelor of Arts Degrees in both Comparative History of Ideas and History from the University of Washington.
